Brent's 150 gallon build (1 Viewer)

Wouldn't seven only add up to 21 hours?
Or does the first one not count

The first one isn't a "repeat".

Also, to test to see if you have the alarm and switch set up properly, you can just change the function to heater/controller and tell it to be on till the temp is 100 or something. Then, operate the float switch. The outlet should turn on when you push it down, off when you let it float. Once you know you have the alarm and switch setup right, the timer is the easy part....

Thanks for All the help! You really seem to know your way around the reefkeeper! Have you figured out how to get it setup so you can access it outside of your house or through the web app by chance?

I have. Most of the work with that is in the router and port forwarding, however. Once you figure that out, there really isn't anything special about reef keeper vs apex....I can access them both. Both of the controllers have a way to turn off dhcp and to assign the internal IP and internal port. Once you do all of that, then you go into the router and allow the forwarding of those ports to those IP's...
However, I tried to figure it out for a friend today, he has some apple hardware, I couldn't make heads or tails of it....

Have you found any good write ups online that guide you through it? I have windows 7 and a d link router and couldn't figure it out at all using digital aquatics guide

here's a good website where you can select specific router you have and it'll walk you through port forwarding for you

Still confuses me lol I think I need to hire an it tech to come do it for me lol.

Got the fish room set up in a way that now really frustrates the gf (if she wasn't mad enough that our house search is revolving around the ability to have a large display tank in the living room) haha. But at least in the new house I'll spend more time upstairs if the tank is up there? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1398732119.338327.jpg

And my view from the chair :) ImageUploadedByTapatalk1398732138.656189.jpg

Guessing you get roped into doing a lot more laundry with the tank in that room. No wonder you want it in the living room :)

Tank looks gorgeous!

Haha not much laundry gets done :).

Does anyone on here keep a mixed reef with the 16000k razors? I am looking to switch up my lighting to something dimmable and controllable. If I were to go with 3 of the 20" razors. Last case I would save up and get 3 or 4 radions. I don't like the look of the aqua illumination led or the kessils. And haven't done much research on any of the eBay specials. I don't want to build an led setup as I get frustrated and give up too easily ( one of my major flaws ) looking to figure out how mich I have to save up. But as for budget anything is possible as long as it is worth the money

Update? Did you get your port forwarding figured out? Did you upgrade your lights? I like the razors, would be an LED fixture I would try if I was willing to go LED. Grigor has them on his frag tank, it does well.

Unfortunately my update is a sad one, I broke up with my girlfriend and she refused to do anything with the tank when I went out to minot for work, she either nuked the tank or it crashed becasue when I came back almost everything was dead, what wasn't dead was moved to my new apartment and is now sitting in a stock tank waiting for me to get back to transfer into a 29 biocube that I picked up. I have to somehow get the tank out of the house since I was t able to move it in the limited time I had I'm thinking the best option would be to sell it for cheep to have someone come get it and be done with it. I will also be selling my large equiptment soon possibly as I don't feel like I will be able to re set up a large setup in the near future and am not sure how equiptment stores and maintains itself.

Well I'm debating the 125 again haha I have a new stand and tank built so we have a good base starting point going ImageUploadedByTapatalk1409005805.866186.jpg
