I think Fungia sp. are found exclusively on the sand bed in the wild. It will be interesting to see if it does well on rock. I know mine will actually move around, I'm not sure if it has a destination in mind or what..

If it starts to look bad I might have to move it down but I placed it there because when I had it on the bottom(glass bottom no sand) it was just blowing all over the tank bumping into things and I was afraid it was going to get damaged I read that they are very fragile

Well I had a super exciting weekend and now have a very stressful month and a half ahead of me with preparing. My offer for the house I was looking at was accepted pending inspection and I am planning on closing February 20th if not sooner.
So I guess what is the best way to move two fish tanks 10 miles if I have 8 days?
My plan was to have a stock tank to hold everything so that I am not rushed. I would fill it up with fresh saltwater on the 20th and put some sort of seeded material in their, sponges perhaps that I can stuff my sump full of tomorrow until then ? And then I will have a heater and power heads going. After a few days I will move corals, fish and live rock over and remove some of the sponges. Then I will take the biocube over, should be easy as there is no sump and disassemble the 90 and move that over and put it back together and fill both, the next night I will put corals and fish back in respective tanks and be done! Am I overthinking this and making it much harder than I need to? Should I just move one tank each day? And bucket fish and corals
Any advice will be appreciated

Stock tanks are your friend and the last thing you want to be is rushed with something like this. Sounds like you have a good plan and you are lucky you're only going 10 miles. Moves like these get much more complicated over multiple states.
I think your stock tank is the best idea. Just never know what can happen in the move. I've done the same day move before and its just added stress you don't need.

Looks to be new growth to me. The faster the growth the more white looking can appear. Zoanthids though looks like getting a bit much light and may need to tweak down just a little.

Lol Marty I agree, I will be adding more fish after I move, hopefully a convict tang and a few more anthias I've been trying my best to stop adding anything to the tank so I have less to move ( not very successful on the coral end of things)
David, I'm at 40% right now using your schedule, do you think 35% would be a good place to be for a bit or should I drop down to 30%

Ok thanks I'll leave them, maybe I'll add a little more screen directly over the Zoas and aclimated them a bit that way they seem to be doing good and growing they are always open even after the lights go off for an hour or two unlike when they were in the other tank half the time they were closed with the lights on

They look a bit pale especially the pink one usually too much light. Maybe it's just the camera.

Yea I'm not sure, I guess they are slowly changing color since the other tank certain ones look super dark others look lighter than they did, it also changes on the lighting, as the night goes on they get darker as the lights go blue

I did some trading and don't know what these chalaces are called for sure, the first one they said was a tyree bazooka joe

Well today is the big day, wish me luck as I have put off moving the tank as long as possible lol
I have 65 gallons of freshly mixed saltwater and 65 gallons of heated rodi which I don't plan to use all of it I just as a precaution.
I plan to box everything up in styrofoam boxes and bring them to the house then empty the tank and bring the stand and equipment over and then in the third trip I will bring the tank Saran wrapped in a blanket and take care not to scratch it so that I can put it right on the stand when I get home.
Should go smoothly as I practiced with the biocube last weekend and that went well

Brent good choice, after talking to you and your girl friend at rockman-1 meeting I figured that both you and your girl friend are quite meticulous so the tank should turn out great. I for one can't wait to follow the build and then see the finished product. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the luck! So far so good, definitely taking me much longer than I thought it would but it gave me a chance to re scape the tank ( bear in mind this will eventually be a softy and annenome tank for Kaci's corals/clowns) which will get what the biocube had in it.

I am acclimating the fish now and will put corals in after that. the in laws are coming over tommorow for a bday party so I can't just throw them on racks like I was planning on doing since it will be about a month before I am ready to do the transfers, so I guess it will be a late night for me since I have to make it look semi nice
