Thinking about picking up this pump for auto top off. Anyone use it with a controller for top off? If so, what is your impression of it?

If that's the one, I do highly recommend it. Nice rugged construction. Excellent price, your going to be very hard pressed to find something better for the price.
You will use the OSC funtion with with 1 minute on, X minutes off depending on your evaporation rate. Great for kalkwasser too. If you do a search you will find my recommended programming for it.

i use a aqua lifter pump for mine and have my AC3 for all the programing to turn on and off my top off. you can program your AC3 to the minute as well.

Yeah, that's the one! Should have posted it earlier, not sure what I was thinking
Perfect, I wasn't sure if there would be an optimum amount of time to have the pump on to avoid excessive wear and tear. I will start from here. Thanks David!
Thanks Dhummel. This tank will be rather small so I think the aqua lifter will be impractical. Will look into this though if/when I go bigger :biggthumpup:
