so how would this all work. Someone collects the money? and receives all the lights at one place or do we just order seperately and receive light at our own house?
Cool, I'm game for 1 it2040 and should be ready to pay for mine this Friday (work bonus comes in!!). Curious too with how and when we plan on doing this. On a side note, I have a manually dimmable one and it's working great and the corals love it. I did have to modify it a bit due to I dropped it down a flight of stairs and the metal case was dinged up pretty bad. I ended up making a box out of wood and moved all the internals into it with the fans and all. Everything still works great but I'm just not sure about it being in a wooden case! I need to find some black acrylic to build a better box........
I saw that too. We have 2 different options we could wait for reefbreeders to restock and go through them or we could go through a different evergrow distributor who From what I researched has a better led layout that tons of people from pnwmas are using on there tanks with great luck. Either option we do lights would send to 1 address.
If we go through the evergrow distributor this is the layout it will be. I can get other led's if people want to play around with the colors. But I guess this layout was fine tuned after 2 different group buys to be the best. This layout will give a 14k spectrum I am told
I like a more blue spectrum but it's REALLY easy to change the led's in these lights if you know how to solder. I changed my light and when I bought my replacement ballast (my fault) I ordered it directly from Evergrow they sent me extra 460 and UV leds to do just that. One of the cool things I like about this light. you can order any spectrum led you want and install them yourself! This layout is nice though, I like that it has less red in it than mine came with and more blues. I changed mine now with less 35k in place of 10K and royal blue and blue leds.
By the way, to replace both ballast and all three fans with all the wiring cost me 55.00 with shipping from china and it came in exactly 7 days! This was for the standard 120w light.
I haven't heard anything lately about these LEDs. Are we going to set a date and time to order these lights soon? I'm ready to get this group buy going!
I don't think so. I was going to go with 90 degree on the 16" version and was told that will cover a 2'x2' area so with a 32" fixture on a 36" tank it would be perfect.
