Well time for an Update...
Tank is still up and running. Alot has changed besides the main hardware. Aquascape has changed slightly due to an algae outbreak that i had to scrub all the rocks. tried a couple of new things, and pretty much just went back to what has worked well for me on other tanks.
current setup
40br display with 20L sump
mag 7 return
SeaSide aquatics skimmer (same as NAC7 just has a sicce pump instead)
Biopellets in a BRS reactor that was modded to run pellets better
ROX carbon through a mini reactor
2 MJ1200 powerheads with Hydor flo's on each one for flow. They oscillate for 20 minutes a piece. then a Tunze pump. i forget which model but its around 600gph.
Lighting is a 1' Vertex Illumina SR200 with 2 AI nanos. one on each side of the illumina. That has worked out really well. just a headache of getting them to both run together and not look too funky.
The LEDs do really well with LPS and Softys so i have moved most of my SPS to my basement tank and really have switched to having mostly LPS with some SPS and some softys as well.
Livestock is 2 clowns, and 1 yellow watchman and a pistol shrimp
Gave the powder brown to a good buddy for his 125. The Yellow watchman is going on about 2 years old right now. My Goldbar maroon clown jumped ship and i moved my black and orange clowns to take his place about a year and a half ago. Still got the original mandarin. He is going on about 2+ years right now and will eat just about anything that is in the tank that floats in front of him, Mysis, brine, small pellets, reef chilli which he goes absolutely bizerk for.

Looks even better than when I saw it. What do you run your LEDs at and what time periods? Will have to make my way out for some frags sometime :beerchug:

Run them for about 13 hrs a day. No moon lights at all. The AI are set pretty simple.
50% both blues from 8-11 2 hr ramp
80% blues 40% whites from 11-3 1hr ramp
50% blues 0% white 3-8 2 hr ramp then after 8 they ramp down to 0% over the course of the next 2 hrs.
The illumina is very similar but a little more intense. Goes up to 100% blues and 60% white. I like having the illumina in the middle as it evens up the disco ball effect from the optics on the nanos. I wish I had a 2' illumina then I could get rid of the nanos!

Little video. You can see the bleached out welso in the middle. LEDs were too bright for it. It's starting to come back slowly. I got it hidden under a shelf.
