So I made the executive decision to go with (2) ati 10 bulb units... As far as the skimmer goes either a bk or the tunze

So if anyone has any experiance with a larger phyto drip, could you please explain your set up or how it was set up..... Chad really has me starting to think about featherstars and other nps inverts

So ben, when I went to bed last night (or this am however you wanna look at it) I was set on the ati bulbs..... I can't believe I had totally forgotten about a certain fixture on the market... And its the perfect fixture.... 8 bulbs in each so I'd need 3 of them but its a t5/led combo.... 4 t5s and 4 leds.... Icecap reef illuminations..... So THIS is the lighting I'm going to use no if ands or buts about it.... End of discussion
good, at least you hve that solved!!

Lol yeah, now the skimmer is basically the last remaining item to figure out.... My biggest issue with the skimmer is I'm trying to run as natural a system as possible.... Hence all the biological filtration.... However with that many tangs and the fish load will be even larger than that list ( thoes are just the ageed upon fish so far) I know I'm gunna have to feed a ton.... And now I'm really starting to contemplate the nps inverts so a constant phyto feed will need to be in place... What I origionaly had hopped to a simple system is becoming more complex.. With the possbilities of ozone, a constant phyto supply, and/or running a few elements of ZEOVIT

YAY! After calling 6 vendors I found a company to build this beast! I will be having miricles builld this tank, tempered 3/4 inch glass, overflow in the center with 4 2inch bulkheads, 3 viewable sides starfire glass, eurobraced and centerbraced, 8 1.5" returns drilled through the eurobracing running up the sides of the tank... 2 1.5 bulkheads drilled in the centerbracing...
The bulkheads in the euro bracing are the returns on the closed loops and the centerbracing bulkheads are the returns from sump/fuges.
Real easy process with them, took all of 5 minutes to get me a quote shipped to my door.... When the time comes does anyone have a forklift I can borrow? Time to start getting the equipment stock piled.....

in all honesty were going to keep that private.. While its not cheap it wasn't overly too expensive.... Look at equipment costs and I'm sure you can figure it out as everything is relative.... I'm just excited to have found a company willing to build the tank

Woke up from a nap today to a couple pms about icecap.... Doesn't nessacarily give me my peace of mind I'm shooting for.... So I'm kinda feeling I'm back to square 1 here with lighting.. I really liked the fact they had leds mixed in with the t5s.... I may just bite the bullet and go straight leds for this build now.... I really liked that tank that could make the thunderstorms... Just a cool added feature.... Back to browsing other possibilities
