I have dealt many times with powder blues and purple tangs with inch. My best advice is to feed lots of seaweed and get a cleaner shrimp. The combination of those two factors are your best chance to cure the fish. It can take up to 4 -6 weeks to cure All other options just add further stress to the fish in my opinion. I have been very successful.

You cant use Prime or other ammonia detoxifiers with copper. It changes the oxidation state of the copper making it much more toxic to the fish.
