Hey guys,
So I am about a week into my "fishles" cycle, 120g new tank, 150lbs of dry rock, 30g sump. I have 5 raw shrimp with a 1" square raw piece of Talapia anchored to the bottom of the tank in a net. I have my skimmer turned off, heaters up to 81deg to speed the cycle, I have been leaving the lights off most of the time. So a couple of questions; I have my two inlets draining into two filter socks, is this hindering the cycling process? Secondly, I added the recomended doses of Seachem's "Stability" to the tank. My NH4 is at Almost .25 ppm, it has been about 8 days since the raw fish was added, does this seem slow or am I on track. Is the "Stability" slowing or helping the process. I have no problem waiting, for I am in no hurry, I just want to make sure I am going down the right path.
Also, where should the NH4 ppm be to consider a "spike"?
Thanks
