I saw on your website that you're setting up a new fish system. Do tell, what have you got planned and when?

Well most people have been to SWE, so Fritz was nice enough to let me buy two of their spare 8' long fish tanks. My project this week is to get the system plumbed and start ordering fish at the end of this week.

Today I will be traveling to see Ryan and Andrew at Bulk Reef Supply to buy a large assortment of valves and pvc.

Below is a picture of the tanks on their stand. I need to complete the plumbing before I can frame it in.

Just squeezed them in their, hey! Nice find on those racks. Where did you find them again? I'm thinking of using another spare at home.

Ok, I finished up the plumbing and am waiting for some more RODI water to fill the top tanks.

Initial tests were good, no leaks.

Some more details:

I used a number of Cepex True Union Ball Valves in both SxS and SxT, this way if I need to make any future adjustments I can remove one section, rather than replumbing the whole system.

Returns are fed by two Ocean Runner 6500's at 1800GPH.

Coast to Coast Overflow, seems to be silent with the bottom system running.

Octopus PRO skimmer, a bit undersized for the system, but I plan to split the tanks into two systems in the near future.

Tanks will be lit by 4' 54w Gieseman AquaBlue+ T5 Bulbs.

I'm trying like heck to carve out some time to get over there this week, I've missed ya the last two... :(
