Dear Friends and Loyal Customers,
I would like to update you with regards to the status of Discovery Aquatics. On Wednesday August 4th I cancelled the sale of Discovery Aquatics to Clinton Manchester and Becky Wessels because I received an overwhelming amount of negative feedback from customers like you.
I knew in my heart that I still needed to pursue my other business opportunities, so I began quietly searching for a new store owner. I approached the situation, as if I was hiring a manager for Discovery Aquatics. The main requirements were the new store owner must have a plan for expansion, be well received by current customers, have significant retail management experience, knowledge of saltwater aquariums and above all be trustworthy.
After reaching out to a few customers, there was a name that I kept hearing. This person was a Discovery Aquatics customer who was in the process of starting his own saltwater aquarium store. I gave him a call and learned that he was planning to approach me about buying or working with Discovery Aquatics, until the first deal was announced. After a series of meetings and negotiations, we have reached an agreement.
I would like to introduce you to Clint Anderson (Merkurfan). Many of you may already know him, but you may not have known that Clint has a background in store management. In our discussions, he described a plan to grow Discovery Aquatics that included an expanded drygoods line, more coral and fish aquariums and the possibility of utilizing the unoccupied space in the current building. Please welcome Clint and give him the opportunity impress you.
A reopening date will be announced shortly. All Gift Certificates will remain valid. Thank you for patience.
