Not sure if this has been discussed before or not, but if you have never been there the place is amazing. Was at there first frag swap before they had the Aquaculture facility, and many after that.

One of the Mod should see whats involved in setting up a club tour. no openings until November from what I'm reading.

Learn More About Our Facility
Main Coral Systems First opened in July, 2005, our Aquaculture Coral & Marine Life Facility is one of the nation's few premier coral propagation facilities. Our cutting-edge facility employs the most sophisticated technology in lighting, filtration, water movement, and quarantine systems to ensure the hardiest and disease-free coral and fish selection for home aquariums. Our staff of aquatic experts and diagnostic specialists personally oversees the health of all of the aquatic life housed in Rhinelander, WI.

Designed by LiveAquaria.com Director Kevin Kohen, this unique facility is dedicated to education, conservation and the advancement of the hobby through best practices and smart choices. We are proud to offer reef and marine aquarium enthusiasts one of the largest selections of premium captive grown, aquacultured and maricultured aquatic life. Through our successful efforts in coral propagation, an ever-increasing number of Certified Captive Grown Corals (CCGC) are available for reef hobbyists. We are so confident of our hardy aquacultured corals that each CCGC frag comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and an industry-leading 30-day guarantee.

Our Aquaculture Coral & Marine Life Facility is also home to the exclusive WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) Diver's Den®. Our holding systems house a prized selection of hard-to-find fish, corals and invertebrates. Each species is quarantined and then photographed for sale so what you see is TRULY what you get.

One of the Mod should see
Well, if one of the mods WANTS to do this, they can, but there is no reason they "should." Its not a mods job to set up meetings, etc. Basically this club is volunteer run, so if you want to do something like this, volunteer and see what it would take to set it up. I would think we'd be happy to support you. Or whomever wanted to do it.

I didn't try to make sound like that something that they have to do, I should of stated it as gauging interest to see how many people would be interested in doing this. space is limited to 60. if we get a bunch of people posting here that would like to do this I will take the lead and email Kevin @liveAquaria

This MOD has enough to do already

You dont need a MOD to organize this

If you would like to put this together please do

FWIW - the club has put together numerous tours through LiveAquaria in the past - this is nothing new

I'd be interested in going, FWIW, just would depend on when, etc. I think you'll get alot of interest.

I would be in if we got this set up. If this does end up happening we should try to see if we could also set up to check out Bill Wann's 20,000g home aquarium which is fairly close to there. I see he does a lot of tours of his setup.

i just mapped it out and I was thinking Rhinelander was by Milwaukee, but turns out it is not and 4 hours away :(

I have sent an email to liveAquaria and Bill about setting up a tour.

Here is a link to Bill's build it may have been posted before. In reading you will see that Bill wants to build a 70,000 gallon aquarium. No that was not a type out.

I see that Bill is also setting up a website to sell the skimmers and reactors that he has been building. Plus many other projects that he seems to have.

this makes me wanna cry:bawling:, theirs just too much fun to be had here, would look forward to seeing this, and bring my 7 and 5 yr old, they would get a kick out of seeing this.

Its pretty fun on the tour days you can buy fish and corals and not have to pay the shipping and they also have free stuff and drawings after the tour for corals and equiptment. And if you get a chance to poke your head in the directors office do it his sps tank is INSANE!
