Fritz's Home Display - Tank Build (1 Viewer)

Fish and corals are all at work. Tank is down.
Projects I am working on:
1) new lights. 6XT-5 with Reefbright LED and Moonvue LED (MH just too hot for the summer, and not convinced enough for SPS on the LED only bandwagon).
2) New rockwork. I loved my old rockwork, but I had such a hard time with flow in the cube. Also I couldn't reach things that fell under the table. Going bonzai.
3) refocus on SPS. I can't help myself.
4) Changing fuge from LR to DSB. Reason, Freshfish made me do it.
5) going back to GFO and ROX carbon.
6) fixing some plumbing issues. With my bad back I can't reach the gatevalves without a lot of pain. Bringing the main gate to the front. Also I am going to invest in a months supply of filter socks so I can switch them every few days, but only wash once a month.
:look:
7) Letting the tank cure till October instead of rushing in like I did last time.
8) Copperband for main fish. :censor:aptasia:censor:

Love these parts, you NEED this stuff for DIY... its the same stuff Aqua Illumination uses for their light rails.

Big thanks to James. He skipped church for ME! I couldn't have gotten all that stuff apart and out without him.

Added a baffle to my sump. I plan on sucking out half the sand at a time with a wet dry vac. Li doesn't think it will work... I hope he is wrong.

I'm going to use the sand as a sponge, I'm less interested in it as a biological filter. But we know with SPS making too much changes at once causes havoc, so I figure I better stick with half at a time.

I was going to do this for rockwork. The bowl was supposed to be for a bluespot jawfish. Scrapped the idea though.... Going to really focus on that SPS

rocks are curing in a bucket. I did bleach them first... Also I put them in shipping boxes for the ride home.... then I forgot they were in there. Then I threw them into the dumpster.... then I spent $60 on more glue..... Sigh.

Cleaned up the wood and reapplied wood spray.

Is that salt creep or leakage? How did the finish hold up?

Love the T-slot aluminum I've been researching it myself lately for a cnc build. Thanks for pointing out the link :)
