Get Raffle Tickets for Using Sponsors! (1 Viewer)

but would they qualify? I thought e receipts are not allowed?

Im not sure....you would think brs would be since they dont have a store front....otherwise ive had brs mail me receipts for warranty purposes but it took a week or so to get them
 
I fail at reading properly- it does seem like printed receipts will work fine

What do you all think about extending this to vendors(with booths) at the swap? Assuming the vendors can be trusted, they could be given tickets to hand out with each sale.

I think its too late to organize that for this year, the people working the swap are already running hard right now.

Worth talking about for next year, so you may wish to propose it on the next swap thread.
 
sponsors with booths are your proposing all vendors ? I do know raffle tickets are a good percentage of income to offset the swap costs. I'd imagine if every vendor qualified then it would reduce the # of raffle ticket purchased. I know if I spent $100 at the swap and recieve 10 tickets I'd buy less tickets.
 
I agree with it being too late for changes this swap. Just tossing out an idea in what seemed to be a logical place. Fine to move the discussion to another thread if that is a more appropriate venue.

I was proposing all vendors with booths ( but not for sellers who just post pre-sales in the forms ). I assume the receipt thing we do now is meant to be a way of encouraging people to shop at the sponsor's stores to increase the desirability of being a sponsor and that we continue to do it because it is at least somewhat effective. It seems like the same logic could apply to vendors at the swap. It makes it more desirable to be a vendor. Be a vendor at the swap, you'll sell lots of stuff, partially because we'll give you raffle tickets you can hand out.

Man - some of the receipts today blew me away!!! Every person that brought me a receipt maxed out on raffle tickets woo!!!

I know of at least one member that won something just off thier receipt - (Seahag) : )

Save your LFS receipts in the couple months leading up to the Expos all!

TCMAS is going to reward you for supporting our Local Fish Stores!!

For every $30 spent at a local fish store or TCMAS sponsor between September 1, 2013 and November 23, 2013 we will give you 1 raffle ticket. The $30 sum needs to be on 1 receipt, you can not combine 3 $10 receipts for a ticket, but you can bring 3 $30 receipts for 3 tickets. A receipt for $90 will also reward you 3 tickets.

Max per person will be 5 tickets, you must bring your receipts WITH YOU to the expo and present them to the event committee members handling raffle ticket sales. We will then verify the receipt is recent, is from a local store or sponsor, and the amount of tickets you will get. We will be placing a mark onto the receipt to acknowledge its validity and return it to you.

Credit card statements and/or word of mouth will not work, the event committee members will be under strict instruction to only accept receipts provided from the retailer in question. If it was a web purchase, a copy of your final sale receipt showing amount due, amount paid, and store purchased from will suffice. Do not bring your smart phone up to us and show us the email, print it out and bring it in, be prepaired to surrender the web receipt to us as we need to make sure people are not using duplicates.

This will be a continuous effort from TCMAS and the event committee, going forward, whenever we have a raffle and you bring in a sales receipt from a LFS or sponsor within 2 months of the raffle, you will receive free tickets!!

Purchases made at the event will not count towards this offer.
