Anyone see this kind of thing?
Big red ORA Goni I’ve have for a few years, it’s always open and happy.

It’s been closed up for a week, best I can tell only thing I did was a maintenance dose of Magnesium from 1200-1300 ppm. Can’t see anything unusual from testing, and every other coral is happy including a Goni 6 inches from it.

So in reality, a couple thoughts:

1) Swap to nyos salt? Slightly different blend of traces and it’s not happy?

2) How long was the mag closer to 1200ppm? I’ve heard that can really bother gonis, so maybe it’s a delayed reaction to the lower mag?

3) Shedding - I’ve never had a Goni, but I’ve read and heard that they can stuff a layer of their “skin,” and when that’s happening they can be retracted for a period of time.

4) Pecking/irritation - I don’t remember exactly what the new fish were that you got, but any chance one of them has nipped at it or just otherwise hung out near it to the point of irritation?

Not great thoughts, but those are the first things that come to mind from my previous YouTube/internet searches. Hopefully it will be short term, that one is always so pretty in your pictures/videos.
