Our club is about to be without a treasurer. There is an upcoming business meeting/election coming up way too soon that would currently leave us without as no one has thrown in their hat. I have to believe that there are many qualified people in this club who are qualified. I won’t go into all of what’s required of the treasurer but you can read everything for your self on the thread HERE!

If you are supportive of this club, grateful for the community, want to be a part of the organization, or just feel it is your duty to step up and do your part I urge you to throw your name in.

Again we are very short on time. The meeting will take place next Friday! Let’s see who is a team player. I look forward to multiple members throwing in their hat to make this a real election!

I was secretary before and can confirm it’s not a big ask. Considering how many members the club has and the attendance of the Expo I’m really surprised we can’t get 1 person to tackle it :(

If I had ANY spare time between working and being a full time dad for a pretty demanding 1 year old I would be happy to. Heck I could probably pull it off if I could it remotely but that would put more burden on the rest of the BOD and y’all do enough.
 
I’m going to keep posting on here to keep it bumped to the top all week until we hopefully get someone with the skills, time, and willingness to help out the organization. That is unless @ikserk says it’s against the forum rules. With that BUMP

What was the head count at the expo? I have to believe there’s more than 5 people that believe in our club and want it to continue.

Is the business meeting in July holding people back as everyone has summer plans?

I’ll literally bribe someone with hundreds of dollars worth of huge acros to run for treasurer so I don’t have to!

Very kind of you Ben.

We do need a treasurer, but perhaps the kind of person doing it for hundreds of dollars of value isn't the type of person we want in control of our money :)

We do have safeguards from embezzlement as its happened before, but the ideal candidate is prominent in the community with a reputation of trustworthiness. Sounds like someone you might know personally ;)

I was secretary for a while back a few years ago and would be happy to do it again, BUT I don't have time to do the sponsorship stuff. Just managing the bank account and paying vendors is no big deal.
 
Id be happy to help with the sponsorship stuff as long as i can do it remotely. I can't handle the bank stuff as im probably 1.5 hrs away from the bank.
 
I'll help out any way I can. I am in Rochester though, if that is an issue.
 
I would have to say that we would be looking for someone who could fulfill all duties. That said I’m not sure that remote is an issue. That would be something to chat with @Mordim more about as he would have a better idea of the process.
