How do I make my water crystal clear? My tank keep having these bubble or something flowing in the tank. I tried changing the water, but seems like that didn't help. I have a sump and that don't seems to be helping my water clean. also have a filter running, but that only catches their left over. not sure what to do anymore. If you have any suggestion let me know.
Thanks

Hey dude you posted in the wrong section, I don't remember it being that bad last time i saw your tank. Is it worst now? I forgot.. are you running carbon? if so then get some fiber filter socks.

username- I don't think I have any bubbles in the sump.

jim9- Idk where I'm suppose to post thing in, but here. lol
my gf snap the power head adjustable so I had to replace it with a new one. I think i bought the one that is too powerful and it keep blowing all my sand everywhere so I took that one out and decided to super glue my old one to a suction cup and put that one back in. ever since then I started to have these bubble thing. it looks like sand, but when I turn the power head off its still there. so I've doubt its sand.

can u get a pic... ive never had the issue where a powerhead spits out air bubbles once fully submerged. (on a constant basis)..

as far as the more powerful powerhead the sand will eventually stop blowing around.... and more flow the better.... i personally would use that one ;)

username- the power head doesn't blow air bubbles.

im confused

I think he means there is air bubbles/sand in the tank, If you just got the powerhead in today then give it a few days... if the microbubbles/sand are caused by the powerhead then try adjusting it. I get some air bubbles if my powerhead is near the surface which will bring in air bubbles I can stop by sometimes..... Or maybe that powerhead is too much for your 30g? lol

then they maybe coming from your sump... if you dont have bubble traps after your skimmer or provide a distance between output from the skimmer and return pump, bubbles can be returned into your tank that way

when was this tank set up? did you recently add sand? did u rinse your sand before you used it... alot of times the sand has dust and that will cloud the tank.. but that should settle.. im guessing that when you used the more powerful powerhead some of that dust got up into the water colum.. give it a day or 2 to clear up or use a filter sock
