What yellow fish do you think I should buy? Can't do a wrasse because its open top and can't do another zebromosa tang so a yellow tang is out.

Current fish:

Yellow watchman goby
Purple firefish
Green Mandarin
Yellow head banded high fin goby
Flame angel
Desjardini Tang
Percula clownfish
Green chromis x 2

I want to add a two spot when I think my sand bed has matured enough to support it or I find one that eats. If there are any rods clowns left at SWE in 2 weeks, I may add one of them too.

I've seen a purple strip pseudochromis. mostly yellow and small. I suppose a mimc lemon peel tang (pyroferus) would be out of the question.

BTW - Love the rock work! Did you drill and place shafts in?

Nope, its just a pile. The pieces are pretty heavy. They are Eco Rocks from BRS. It is a little denser than some of the other types I've used, but it sure is easy to aquascape. IT locks together in almost any orientation you want.

do you worry about your purple firefish jumping out? I had a whole school(6) of firefish jump out my 125 whenn I ran an open top.

do you worry about your purple firefish jumping out?

Yes, but he stayed in a rock I was fragging and had to be released immediately so I had little time to worry. I've had that fish a long time and he never swims near the top. Whenever he gets spoked, he dives in a hole. So long as he find a hole he likes in the new tank, I think he'll be OK. But, I am concerned about it - especially while he is adapting to the new tank as he could get unpredictable. So far so good.

Hey Matt, are you using the Tech stand that they normally sell with these. If so, what is your sump size and dimensions? I am looking hard at this tank but what to plan out my sump options first.

Yes, its a tech stand and the sump is a 20L. I'm not impressed with the stand and would think hard about buying it again.

That's good to know. Ray was giving me the same impression. I really want something clean looking and don't want to do a homebuilt one this go around. Is the only negative the space on the stand?

The space is great and the 3 sided access is great. The problem is that it is made of cheap materials. I had a little spill and cleaned up right away but it still expanded and bubbled. Just from normal cleaning, I've rubbed off the finish a few places and had to fill it in with sharpie. Basically, the stand doesn't really live up to the quality that is normally provided by Oceanic.

Nice to finally see pictures of your tank! Well done.

I can't wait to get a tank set back up. I'll keep following your progress...but with all your cameras I NEED MORE PICTURES!!!
