its not even on the same frag plug, the web site pic has it growing on the sides of the plug.
 
exactly, no its not even close to the same, if it was even remotely close to the other in color...even a little, I wouldnt have peeped about it, I love cyphs, I would have been happy to have one.

....it looks worse in person, in the tank, imo. when I took the pic yesterday, I held right up under the phoenix and the actinic, so if there was any color to be had, that was it. now its back down bout half way.
 
..here is a pic of my turbinaria disaster...the owner or boss, not sure which chewed me a new one for DARING to say that he enhanced the photo. ' HOW DARE I" he said....Hec I didnt say much about it, and all of it was private between them and me. He said I was going to ruin his online presence...

paranoid much? anyhoo, I left it alone, NO I wont post what online store it was, I told him I wouldnt and I will stick to my word.

same as with the cyphastrea, I LOVE turbinarias, they are a great coral, if the one I got was even close to the picture, I wouldnt have said a word.
I am assuming what Ive gotten is a very very plain washed out yellow one.
Ive had it months now, of course the ugly thing is growing like crazy! LOL
maybe when it scrolls up I wont hate it so much. like I said, it looks like someone took a chunk out of themselves and flopped it in my tank.

again, the pic I took is up right under the blue light, since they insist its my lighting that is the problem. gahhhhhhhh *shakes fist*
as much color as you see, that is it, in the tank it is just bland and tan.

maybe I should just put my actinic IN the tank with an underwater 20K radium ( as was suggested) shining directly on the them and my corals will look like the pictures? * insert eyeroll here *

At least on that last one the green eyes still look green.... so its maybe 1/2 way accurate;) But like Clint says, thats some nice coraline.:goldfish:
 
*GASP* MR WIREREEFMAN how dare you say such a thing, he will take total offense...LOL AND call you up and tell you as much! :p He even brought in his photog that confirmed that is E.X.A.C.T.L.Y. how it looks in the back.
he finally did admit I didnt get that same piece, even though it was a wysiwyg advertisment. it said it was probably from the same colony.
bah...its ancient history now. doesnt matter.

the little polyps are yellow....on a beige background is just so awesome...
 
Amazes me they can even raise a stink about you questioning their photo, they are not even close. If we can work something out I would love to take a shot at the cyphastrea. I have a dark pink one that I got from exotic frags a year or so ago that is looking good, just a slow grower. PM if intestered.

I was referring to a different place,who I promised verbally via phone converstion that I will not post publically about the incident, and I have not made a complaint.

Reef hot spot I owe NO allegiance to.

and if you check the date....I didnt post a complaint over there until they accused me of trying to scam them and purposely picking random pics off their site to post, which is a complete lie.

I did NOT drag all that back over here as they are not sponsors here and didnt see the need, enough people read both places, those who had read my posts here would know what was going on. I made my direct complaint to the person whom was involved.

you have high morals. But I would still tell people not to order from that company if you see anyone who is about to order from them. Why keep them happy if they are not going to make you happy. link didn't work for me.

added, to re - fin's remarks...I cant find it either...and I made it LOL I dont know how it was brought here....

basically the reef hot spot guy said I was scamming him and lied about the pictures I put up.I copied my post from here rather than re write the whole thing and made a complaint directly to the sponsor, reef hot spot. I shared the mails I got from him that supported my argument and he posted my old fish orders and emails from me from the last time I ordered from them....changed some facts a long the way as well.

some other guy posted the reef hot spot was making himself look pretty bad. and reef wrote back that he was in a lot of pain and had a medical condition.

thats all I know for now.

I went back and looked at my thread here....I thought I had posted their emails to me...I guess I didnt. I did have them in the complaint however. I was thinking that it was crappy of me to post them here.. but I guess I didnt after all, I put them there ...to the guy that wrote them.

not offended at all.

I really hate this "jerry springer"- like airing of dirty laundry. I had decided I had enough and that was it. I figure there are those that will understand why I did it, those that , while its not something they would have done, will over look my action and befriend me anyway, and those that will hate what I did, and hate me for doing it. LOL Thats just the way it goes.

but no, I was not offended at all by your post, I just hated that it all ended up the way it did.
