I was going to send my payment to wbgnt but this seems to be a cool deal plus I can order a couple of other items I need!

How does this work for us that already sent payment to Nate? Does he just order ours for us or refund money and we reorder.

Is everyone jumping ship here? Are we willing to let this group buy go to the date we have set above for payment? How many are already paid?

so far including myself we are at 14 pumps

That is far lower than what I was expecting. So did everyone say they wanted then when it came to "pony" up alot didn't follow through? That is a far away # from 40.....

Also looking and reading the description of the pumps, from my understanding they come with the sensor already?? And to add another replacement one is a $1... I will also find out from the manufacture on that as well.

Yes! sensor came with it, at least it came with my and i never extra dollar. however, judging from the one i had, along with many info on RC regarding the sensor. the sensor alone is a hit or miss, you better off getting the photo cell from the R-Shack.

Well here is what I have found out on everything so far.

- There is no warranty with these pumps. Instructions and box states a 1yr manufacture warranty, but from what the manufacture told me that there is no warrany from them. Guessing since its Mainland china and just a manufacture they do not wish to deal with warranties.

- Sensors are not very good for night mode, etc.. Have read several places on RC and other forums of them being faulty, working sorta, or not working at all.

- Some power cord issues but was resolved by using a different computer cord, manufacture is hoping to fix issue but I wouldn't hold my breath.

- Otherwise the pumps are getting good reveiws.

- Shipping time for QTY of 40 pumps is around 2-6 weeks.

- There would be no warranty with pumps if doing the GB. If you happen to get a faulty pump the issue would be yours. Granted you could buy a 2nd pump and have the other for parts.

I haven't paid wbgnt because I don't know if we're going to go through fragtastic reef yet. I figure it'll be easier for me if we end up buying from fragtastic reef to just pay for it myself then having wbgnt pay for it and find that someone else didn't pay enough or something along those lines. It also gives me incentive to check this thread whenever someone posts something :p If it's easier for the group for me to just pay wbgnt then let me know. Also I don't feel like having him paying me back if the group buy falls through as that'd be one less person he'd have to worry about.

Kind of sucks that the company doesnt have a warranty. Would it be possible to just buy the individual parts from the company? What if the impeller comes in and is completely shattered or cracked?

my plan was if we go through fragtastic reef that I would order all the pumps from him and make the trip down to pick them up

According to what I have been told there is no warranty with the pumps. As I stated in my post above its at your own risk, as it would be anyways. Parts and any warranty claims you want to deal with the manufacture would be up to you. I will not obviously supply parts or warranty for the pumps at this time.

Ok I added the Pump onto my website. Would like to start a new thread for the GB in my sponsor section. This way we can make it easier on ourselves and not have 6 pages of stuff to go through.

Here is a link to the pump I placed on my website.

So for those already paid, you will make the trip for us then? LMK, I might be available to tag along :p

yes I will make the trip down there for the whole order if need be working on a few things here also I may be able to get them cheaper 65 each but need the money asap

So I guess at this point I would just rather get a refund and order the pump via Fragtastics web site. There are a few other things I might want to pick up so I can just get the free shipping versus having to drive and meet Nate somewhere.

I would like to do the same thing also.
