Jonty's latest Build thread (1 Viewer)

Well the equipment is slowly trickling in , I decided to go with a new Custom tank should be shipped next week along with custom sump.
I am so in debt to Mr Bill when I had gotten out last time I gave Bill a few boxes of stuff well it turned out he did not use most of it and gave it back to me saving me $100's along the way :) a big thanks goes out to Mr Bill.
I am not sure what I will do with the other tank yet. The rock goes into tubs this weekend to start cycling
I do need a guy to weld a stand for me if anyone has a contact I would appreciate it.
Now some pics of the progress.

Jon, Check the directions for the UV. I think that is the only configuration it does not recommend. Not sure why, but take a look at the directions to make sure.

I will, this is how I had it before on my last tank ?

I think the last tank, it was sitting on the ground behind the tank with the fittings facing up.

Right now you have the fittings facing down, which I don't think is recommended.

your right, time to reconfigure ;)

Correct, don't want air accumulating at in the body. Either input/outputs up, or vertical with output at the top

Luckly I have everything dry fit so here is the correct orientation:) . Thanks Chad for catching this.....

Does the bulb come out the right side in that pic? Just thinking bulb changes w/o taking it out of the system.

I cleaned my out after 12 months, sleeve was clean and the body was really clean inside. Running filter socks helps the upstream stuff stay cleaner I think.

Yes bulb will come out of right side

Looks good did you go with AI SOL's? Who did you even up going with for the tank and sump?

I went with AI Sol Blues and custom 12" Buildmyled.com strips that are 7 UV 405Nm, 4 Deep Red 660Nm, 2 Red 625Nm and 2 505 Nm Cyan.

I used the Sol Blue before and got great results when I combined with Ecoxotic uv stunner strips and Magenta strips.I think the BML strips will be even better.

Advanced Acrylics is building the Tank 60x24x24 , Sump 72x24x24, 12 Gal AIO QT tank and 30x24x8 AIO Coral QT tank.
