Sorry to hear that your plague is all consuming :(
I am however glad you found a good solution for circulation. I have 3 of the first gen 150s. Since I have a substrate, I have problems lifting up too much detritus on the bottom....the sand wants to come along for the ride.

Thanks, it hasn been all consuming, Bandit, Wrasses, Tangs, Jock's have all survived and look good!

I have been playing with a new bit of kit and I really like it, funny how corals really like stable ALK!

The Pintail looks beautiful. Looks like it's also been eating well :)

How often does it test?

Do you notice big variations in ALK consumption throughout the day? I'm looking at dosing distribution on my tank, but don't trust my test kit for minor variations.

You can set the testing period between 30 min and four hours. I do not see big variations during the day.

If you read Jonty, Cypho, and other user posts on R2R you'll see that it can not return a 7.1, 7.4, 7.8, 8.2, 8.5, 8.8 etc value due to the way the unit rounds its numbers.

The machine itself is quite accurate and consistent but would probably be best served to at least report to another digit, or report in meq/l to show these missing gaps.

Actually there is a work around and I have tested and gotten all the results if I want, I just dont want to get into a argument on the other forum and there are two guys that decided they dont like the #'s no matter what. The #'s you quote are not quite accurate but there are some #'s that do not show unless you adjust an internal table.

Well it turns out it looks like between 12pm and 7pm Halide on period I am experiencing 25% more Alk uptake.

Turns out this assumption is inaccurate, there is a software and PCB update coming in the next two weeks that also alows you to connect the unit to an apex!!!! very exciting.

I had a few issues with Apex this week and Neptune support really provided great customer support. On the bad side I found out that you can only have 117 outlets/module inputs on the Apex and I have 114 so they told me I need to buy another Apex if I want to add to the system :(
The support guy did say he had never seen this occur before LOL.

AsianReef and Thedog12 came out today, thanks guys for making the drive its always fun to show the system and talk reefs!

If you guys haven't stop by Jon's house to see his system, I recommend you should make it to his meeting. It's one of the kind set up. Honestly, it look more like art to me lol, I've never seen one like this. Thanks for your time showing me your set up Jon. It's worth the drive.
