I will! I just recieved a text that the replacment sump ships this wednesday.

That's awesome news. Sounds like great customer service at least

Sorry to hear about the new sump and angels Jon.

I was really looking forward to your meeting. Will you try again in the next few months once it's set up and things go back to normal?

Sorry to hear about all of this latest bad news, Jon; especially the Jocs.

One question....
Why the hell was the sump not completely crated!!!!
Having years of prior experience in the trade show display industry and personally building hundreds of crates for shipping displays all over the country and abroad, I'm completely flabbergasted that something as fragile as that sump wasn't completely encased and protected with a crate. The crating doesn't have to be extravagant, but they should've at least attempted to protect that sump from any external threat of damage.
I think I would've puked seeing that show up at my door; and then someone would've gotten quite a verbal thrashing!
I really hope the manufacturer steps up and delivers above and beyond your expectations with the new sump.

I may not be around much this month but if you need strong back that works for cold suds, let me know!

Ugh, you didn't mention the sump arriving like that. That's a huge disappointment.

I look forward to the rebuild of the system though.

And yeah if you need help with the sump haul or anything else feel free to reach out!

Can't wait to get it in my Apex. Constant dKH is game changing for stability in this hobby; especially with my transition to going all SPS.

Quick pic and video update before heading to Macna, who knows what it will be like when I return :)
Tank is trotting along quite nicely these days.

The one in the video is, there are others not shown.

Nice "frags"!
These should really respond well once you get them under your halides.

I worked on the new rock for the main tank aquascape today and I think it will be a much more open structure given it is constructed from Tonga branch. I am dreading pulling out the old rock, salvaging the corals and resetting them but I really want to get rid of the Palys that are starting to run wild in the tank.

I was home yesterday and decided I could not stand all the Paly's in the tank any longer, I have had rock curing for a few months to replace. I really wanted a tonga branch rockscape that is both open but provides many opportunities for coral mounting and lots of nooks and crannies for fish to swim through. I am not sure how I like the result but it will grow on me. Water was still a bit cloudy when I took the picture. The best news is that I am now Paly free!!!!.
