I must say its nice to be out of the hobby (for now).
I don't miss the tank at all and am filling my days with work, coaching youth football, my kids and enjoying a good cigar now and then. I even got back to baking breads. No making water, anxiety about killing a $$$ fish. My FW tank is a no brain'r, just add water and enjoy. So to anyone that is thinking about exiting the hobby, it will be OK.
Now I can just let others do the work and enjoy other peoples tanks.

plugging my ears.....

glad life outside of the ocean is treating you well

My reef is designed to be like your fw tank except much more colorful. Everything is automated. I should be able to ignore it for a good week at a time if I want to and then I only need to clean the skimmer fill the feeder and the ro container. It's all about what you are looking to get out of it and setting it up the right way.

Amen, brother;)

I had my SW on cruz for about 2 years. It was more fun when I needed to upgrade some equipment or I was dealing with some issue in it. After I got it the way I wanted it, all I got was my fish getting to big and I kinda lost interest......Ok, whos selling an RO unit and a skimmer ;)

you sound like not a true reefer, I am very sorry for your loss. I hope you get through it.
