So my tank has been up and running for about 8 mos. now. All the fish and corals are healthy and growing. The little coralline algae that I had growing is slowly fading away. The only thing that I have recently changed to the system is that I added a phospate reactor along with a carbon reactor. My Ca is at 410-420, Alk/Dkh 10, Mg 1350, pH 8-8.3 Water temp 79.5, salinity 1.024

Even the algae that has been attached to any new corals I have added is starting to fade. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. I do use Kalk in my over flow and the funny thing is, I am ok without the Coralline algae as it looks really nice without it, however it makes me a bit nervous that something is out of whack. Any other thoughts?

I have coralline covering EVERYTHING in my tank and non reefers always ask why I have PURPLE rocks! I got some new rocks and it's very obvious what rocks are new :D

Keep an eye on Phospate and Nitrate. If your system is too clean... The algae and die and so does your coral. I have it happen to me. I now try to keep it in low range but not at zero.

Make sure your alk and cal is correct. Alk is very important.

Did you change your lighting lately?

Captain,

Thanks for the info! Since I have completely wiped out the Cyano Bacteria with the GFO reactor should I stop using it for a while and maybe impliment it in the future if I need to? Thoughts?

That is what I would do, but I would try to get Phospate and Nitrate tester and check for a couple of weeks first.
