LOOKS NICE,!
dont give up on the star,
1st off how did you aclimate?
mine took at least a week to really move, i think they take a long time to get used to the water conditions.
did you just get them, i saw the star today when i was in there.

I'm not too worried. It's moved ever so slightly... I lost 2 fromia's in the transfer from the 75G to the 180G, that was all I lost...just didn't take enough time. We got it thursday at SWE.

Tank looks great. Love the lobo. How are you liking the light?
Light works out great. At some point I might tear it apart and make it 'slimmer' from top to bottom to get the bulbs a bit further away from the surface. I did trim it down by about 1 inch by moving the board the heatsinks are attached to to the bottom of the aluminum rails, instead of the top. Since it 'overdrives' the bulbs, it pulls more amps than I was anticipating, but I suppose that is a good thing? It does really light the tank well though, thank you.

Fritz's "Cali Tort".
Ready to trade to him when he is!

Thank you, Sweet Baby Ray for the sweet piece!
This is a 'new color' in the tank. Hope it stays like this. The one angie has is still this color, last I saw it anyway.

Sadly, it'll color up a bit more ;) So it'll get a little more red/orange.

Took off the background, it was peeling. Not easy to paint behind a tank while it's full, paint it before you set 'em up!

Just read through your build thread. Tank looks great. Have a new FTS? How is the convict tang doing?

New baby in June => Tank suffered. Green Hair algae got the best of me. I was still doing weekly water changes, but I couldn't tell up from down and wasn't maintaining or testing the tank properly. I can see why people quit when they have new babies. Mistakes were made, things got too far away from me, some things were lost other things made it through and others just kept on growing. Lot of SPS lost color, much of it is back now.

In mid september, I finally got a maintenance routine down that helped me get back on track. I beat hair algae in about a month. It was everywhere, it was thick and it was long. Now, it is mostly gone.

Finally, today, things look well enough for some pics as the GHA is gone and the color of the remaining SPS is mostly back. Nothing special, just quick point and shoots.

I can relate to the baby = GHA problems. I'm going through that exact battle right now. and with another baby coming next April... I should apologize to my fish and corals in advance.

WOW!!! Very good sense of taste! Love the intermittent lights and darks, and tonz of colors. Love the progression shots. What do you do for maint/dosing daily/weekly?
