I just found the PERFECT article on Shoal Grass and reading it gives me some really good ideas. Anyone here have shoal grass? I'm probably going to go with a fish-less start which means if I ever get hired anywhere I will be setting up a CO2 dosing system (like with FW planted tanks) and maybe FW nitrogen root tablets or salts(also read that some people pour skimate into their tanks to supplement N2). This should give me a substantial growth with my grasses (research suggests 3x faster). My current lighting will be more than sufficient, so no change there.
Luckily Mangroves will not be competing with the Shoal Grass for nutrients since the Mangroves use the water and the Shoal Grass uses the substrate.
