Is there a way to mark All read without going to every message and I am just missing it?

I'm actively working on a major version upgrade of the forum software and will see what I can do to put a button or something at the top of each forum's page and the top of What's New

Yep. I use that mark all as read link in conjuction with the Live Feed link, instead of the what's new link. They work well together.
