Maxreefer's Elos "The 2nd" (1 Viewer)

Besides the RO/DI storage tank (top) I installed a second one for mixing and storing saltwater. Inside the tank there is a heater and a Maxi-jet for flow. Attached also another Maxi-Jet on the faucet connector to pump the water more quickly to the tank when doing water changes.

Very nice. This is almost the same setup that I have in my fishroom for FW. I got 2 of the 65g tanks just like yours from FF and did about the same thing. Got a Mag 9 on there for pumping the water up higher at a good rate. I put both tanks as near the ceiling as I could in order to utilize gravity when I can. They work very nicely.

A few additions I got today....
Thanks so much Zack (NanoFins)

That Symphyliia is gorgeous! I am definitely jealous :beerchug: Looks like you are getting pretty good color out of your Stylophora too.

Great pics as usual!! The corals look very happy already in your tank:biggthumpup:

Thanks Ben. Happy corals = Happy people ;)

Time for some update.
Had some up and downs in the past.
Had a big Aiptasia issue. The Berghia's I got couldn't keep up eating them and got a very nice Copperband Butterfly. He was doing great. Within 2 weeks they were all gone. He was a great fish and was eating frozen food also. One night he got stuck between 2 rocks and couldn't get out anymore I assume and found him dead in the morning.
Then I was out of the country for a couple weeks and the bubble algae decided to make their entry in the tank. Within 2 weeks every single rock was covered.
Last week I got a very nice Gold Spotted Rabbitfish from Kate (kbb0118) and he is doing an amazing job. Half of them are gone by now.

Here are some quick pics I took before. Nothing exciting. Was just in the mood.

Do you have a MP40 and MP10 on there? How thick is the glass... Just wondering since I wanted to put a vortech on the Bottomless.. I have heard som people say it works on 1/2" and some dont...

MP10 can go up to 1/2" MP40 up to 3/4" and MP60 up to 1"
So they claim...My MP10 with 3/8" IMO is about max.

From what vortech says 1/2" dont work thats why I was asking if he has had issues at all with it. I believe his tank is 1/2" glass....

An MP10 on 1/2" glass works for some and for some doesn't.
That is what I have been reading.
I tried it out on my tank and it's running for months now without any issues.
I must add I run the MP10 only in Lagoon Mode. Never tried anything else. I just needed some extra flow at the bottom on the side where the MP10 is connected to keep that are clean from debris
Only thing you really have to do is to make sure the power cord is properly attached and doesn't allow the dry side to slide down.
