Fun.

What do you have behind the temple to light it up in the dark?

Looks like a couple puffers and a trigger, fun fish.

What did you do with your light fixture? I assume it was dimmable to the point that it allows you to keep any algae starved for light and therefore eliminated.

Just a small LED light made by Hydor. Comes in various colors.

Still the Elos AquaTop LED's. Nothing changed and yes it is dimmable.
Have them running for about 10 hours a day.

What did you do with that huge frag tank no that you don't have any corals
All corals I had in the Elos are in the frag tank now

That's awesome.
How are you going to keep algae of the legos LOL
The fish I have in there now are big and messy eaters and will need to keep an eye on the Phosphates and algae of course. Seems the Yellow Tang is doing a good job so far. If needed I can take the whole Lego build out and rinse it off. I glued most parts together.

Couple pics from today

A couple FTS I made today.
Still battling a bit the algae blooms I have due to being a newer setup. It comes and goes. One day it is all gone and the next day it is back. I don't worry to much about it for now

Installed also last Thursday a TurboTwist 6x 18Watt UV Sterilizer. For the size of my tank a 9 Watt probably would have been enough but the max. flow wasn't high enough to match my return pump and I didn't wanted to install an additional pump. By getting the 18 Watt I was able to plumb it on the return line. The first couple days I didn't see a huge difference but as of today the water is crystal clear.
Still need to clean up and arrange all the wiring btw.

My eight year old Halle thinks your new tank setup is AWESOME!

And I must admit, so do I :beerchug:

Quick video. Just click on the picture below to watch the vid.
It is in 720p HD and might require a fast connection
Enjoy

OMG...What a disaster and sad day.

All my fish died within a couple hours. They were all happy and swimming normal in the afternoon and by the evening they were all dead.

As I am in Europe for work I can't exactly say what happened but it is very strange especially in such a short time without any indications.
I asked to check salinity, temperature etc. and all results were just fine.
Also I don't dose anything so that can't be the cause either.

Sad and clueless

Sorry to hear.
On an auto feeder or was someone dumping in meaty foods? One guess could be Contaminated food and/or container since I assume it was one of few "inputs". Otherwise, maybe there was someone spraying cleaner of some type in the house. You may never figure it out since you won't be back for a while. Do you have someone you can send over to try to figure it out?

Not a good way to start the holidays. Again, sorry to hear.

Thanks buddy and thanks for trying to figure out what might have caused this.
No auto feeder. Manually feeding with frozen food but from the same packages which were used for the past 3 weeks.
No spraying. There was nobody in the house.
Factors like salinity, temp. etc were checked after if happened. All was OK.
Besides this the tank was and is running as normal. All equipment is running like it supposed to be.
All the fish were just dead. No visible signs of damage.

As you said..I probably never will know what happened

Well, get someone over there to stick their hand in the tank to check for electrical current anyway. If there was enough electricity suddenly to kill all of your fish, could it lead to bigger problems? I would probably want to rule that one out is all...
