So yesterday I setup my new tank.
It took most of the day and night, I don't have my APEX yet should come this week.
I moved the sump to the left of the stand and placed a piece of smoked acrylic across the inside so all the electronics will be separate from the main sump,.
lights are Exocotic Panarama's I have 4 more stunner strips arriving this week to add on but the color looks good and par is 190 on the bottom and 340 @ the top of the tank (measured with the tank full of water).
Skimmer is a bubble king 160 mini, pump Ehiem 1260.
Sump fuge area is lit by a JBJ nano led light.
I tried to keep the wiring a neat as possible its a relative term of course.
I ran the tank over night with water no leaks......
I just emptied the tank and am of to SE for water and rocks today :)
now the pics.

Wow, nice set up. Definitely going all out! Do you plan to do SPS, LPS, what type of fish?

I love the simplicity of the tank.

WOW! Your tank is already looking awesome and theres nothing in it! ;)

Im also curious what your planning to stock it with? Would be interesting to see how everything does.

Looks good, but I think you are going to have to lower the vortech's to keep them from siphoning air.

The vortec's dont seem to be a problem even flat out, the lights are from Eoxotic
They are Cree 3 watt LED's driven @ 1 watt there are 96 LED's in the base setup (72 8k white and 24 460nm blues) this is total for both units installed.

I have also installed 6 stunner strips which are 24 453nm leds in a strip @ 6 watts total.

Total wattage is 136 watts total.

Water and Rock are in I'm live :) just need a fish and a bit more rock.

I am planning a mixed reef tank (LPS and SPS)

Your tank is looking good!

How do you like the stunner strips? I ordered a few myself, they should be here tomorrow. Once you get corals in the tank I would love to see pictures with and without the stunner strips.

The stunner strips are very east to install but don't add much Par wise , looks though are great.

I am curious to see how the bubble king does for you. I have been thinking of doing a very similar setup for a long time now...

well I didn't like the plumbing of the tank and received the Apex yesterday so I re plumbed the tank with Sch 80 and installed the Apex and ATO switches.
I mounted the Apex behind the door and it works great the door subdues the display so it is not to intrusive.

The skimmer has started skimming and had to clean the cup today, I really love the way the BK's come apart. I am still waiting for the auto cup cleaner for the skimmer and the conductivity module, vortex module for the Apex and the last two Stunner strips. Once they come I can be done with the infrastructure :)

I added a few more pieces of rock and a clown and green Chromis, finally of to the races.

On one last note this a fairly green tank, my average amps for the last 12hrs with the lights on ext has been 2.3 AMPS :) this one wont be costing to much to run!!!!!
