My Trachyphyllia is dying, acan issues. Dang flabba dabba (1 Viewer)

I think you may not have enough nutrients available in the water column, maybe from over doing it on gfo or carbon dosing, maybe a newer tank. Corals can recess for a few reasons but when I notice lps corals retract from the outside in its usually food source or alk. 9.8 isn't to high. So I'm going to assume light or nutrients in the tank are low.

Alk isn't that high. I run my tanks at 9. Calcium is around 30 parts high, but that's not that big of a deal either. I'm with Stoney on this one.

Filled and then ran output from GFO reactor into a bucket till it ran clear.
Zoas, toadstool, xenia, gsp, torch, and echinata are doing fine.

But Duncan, acans in the sand lose flesh and show the skeleton and the trach after two days looks terrible.
