Ok, there may have been a thread on this somewhere but I haven't found it. We need to bug bomb, there is a spider issue and it needs to be taken care of with some sort of spray. So, with that being said, how do I bug bomb with my aquarium in the house. Do I need to plastic or is there a particular insecticide that is more aquarium friendly? The kids are getting spider bites and it's getting a bit obnoxious. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Are you sure they are spider bites and not bed bugs? There is a huge differance and bed bugs can't be killed by a bomb, only an exterminator.

Look around the mattresses for little dark brown dots. You might never see the bugs, but the little dots are a sign.

nah, have enough experience with spiders and there are webs to prove it. I can barely keep up with cleaning cobwebs the darn things are terrible. We need to get our basement sealed better due, they are the worst down there.

There is that window seal stuff for winter that you can seal your tank & sump with I just donno how you would do your skimmer intake.

When we would bug bomb our house using the cans you buy in the store I would put plastic over the tank so none of the bug stuff got in the water. Never had any problems. If your sump isnt under the tank I would cover that also.

I think the husband decided that we are going to throw a large plastic sheet over it and bomb by can. The kids, dog and us are going to vacate for a bit.
