Tank update:-

Due to bad ick outbreak most of my fishes died with in 24 hours except 2 Diamond goby, blue hippo, 2 Fairy Wrasse, yellow coris, 5 shrimps and snails. well I have move blue hippo in QT(even though there was no sign of ick) and been in there from past 3 days with Sohal(almost a week in QT)they are buddy now. Khuong135 and I pickup sohal same day and almost same size. I am sure he is seeing ick on his fish too. because when I introduced sohal in QT, there was an ick next day.

I have re done the aquascaping and removed ton of sand from the tank. Corals were little sad when I was removing sand from the tank, due to debries. Looking much much better now.

past two weeks system is running fishless and will continue running fishless for another 3 ~ 4 weeks.

Plan is to going forward QT all fishes for a month and then introduce them in the tank. lot of people say that way we are not introducing the ick thru fish and less chances of fishes getting ick(where as I am less believer in that, for me ick is like a flu). but there is no harm in trying.

I will be keeping sohal with other tangs but this time the tank fish load will be smaller than before.

Thanks to Ray for lending me the UV's. I am sure that will kill all flying parasites from the water.

here is the pic of sohal in QT. Will post pic of Sohal with Blue hippo soon. may be tonight.

Some more pics, added purple tang today. I Was scared in adding in to the tank due to the sizw but everything seems OK, no fighting between sohal and purple at all. Added some acro too.

Also I have yellow tang Trio in QT, was planning to remove existing two yellow tangs from DT and add those three but plan has changed and thinking of keeping only two in the tank.

Trio are FS. Looking to sell as trio only. No fighting between them. If you plan to add three yellow tangs, these are the one. No need to QT them as well since they are in QT for almost a month. Lmk if you are interested otherwise they are going in my frag tank.

that frag rack looks ugly dude... hurry up and setup your frag tank... so you can show the frags their place, maybe they will hurry up and turn into colonies lol

Looking good.

This sounds more like marine velvet than ich.

How do we get marine velvet in the tank ? I remember I was trying to add kole tang, so first she died and then ick was there on most of the fishes even on clowns, after few days they all were OK but all of sudden one morning they started dying and within 24 hrs pretty much every fish died.

I ran the tank almost for a month without any tangs, diamond and wrasse were in the tank. Tried blue hippo and sohal waited for few days for any ich sign, then added yellow tangs, sailfin, etc etc. till date no sign of ich on any of the fish. Also I do QT small or medium fish.
