would be interesting thing to have even if utilizing it as a filter, and not to replace water changes.

i dont do waterchanges on a rigorous schedule anyway as my nutrient levels havent been an issue and i supplement with trace elements and other dosing.

even as a means of keeping the water clear, and odorless... this would be cheaper than a carbon schedule.

Man... It might be good for fish only. With coral there are so many mineral that these guys need that no way you can supplement all the stuff that they need. Bacteria and algae do consume the same stuff as the coral does. Water change is a good thing to replace missing minerals that take up by bacteria and algae.:beerchug:

like i said, i used trace element and other dosing items to replenish stuff for corals. I managed to keep some pretty darn nice SPS and LPS healthy and growing well. Now i dont agree with not doing water changes for a year, but i did them maybe every other month, once a month if i was bored. My water changes were typically 40-60 gallons on my 125g (150g total volumn) system. If you run a small tank or nano/pico more frequent water changes are likely needed.

I maintain that i think this may be a good product to replace carbon in keeping water clear and odor free. I will likely be trying it for that purpose.
