Noel's 58 Gallon Build (1 Viewer)

and there's no leaks! Everythings all ready to go--except still waiting on delivery of the tek light elite and then have a few more odds and ends including a kalkwasser reactor, another dc8, an I/O break out box for the AC3. Also thinking about getting the mp20...did get the mp10 but now i'm not so sure anymore.

And She FILLS UP!

7 months after actually buying the glass aquarium and stand, she now fills with RO/DI water!

When this is all filled, and since I had already tested for leaks last week, all I need to do is dump the salt in and check with my new refractometer I had purchased from Bulk Reef Supply.

I was going to begin filling last night but I was having difficulties with the float switches, which are connected to an I/O Break out box into a px1000 for my AC3 but I was having such a difficult time with the wiring. Turns out I wasn't using the right type of wiring, and then had some speaker wiring laying around and that had worked like a charm.

So here is a picture, with lights on just to show, of the current status:

nice u got your tek elite! Last I heard they were on backorder still...Looking great there Noel. Your probably itch'in to get some livestock in there, maybe not...since u waited 7 months to put water :gay1:

no tek light elite :-(. Yeah I was trying to get one, but I was told from truvu aquariums that Sunlight supply had told them they will begin shipping in mid summer. Well, I had waited for three weeks and was done waiting so I just ordered everything on bulk reef. The the lighting is nice, I think it's just a tad bit more white. I have 3 aqua blues and 3 blue specials. perhaps one more actinic would do.

Yes indeed about the livestock. Today I'm going to put the salt in. Also need like 1 lb of liverock tobegin seeding the dead rock. Just afraid of hitchhikers like Aiptasia nems
