Just wondering.. this thing didn't really come with instruction. Is there no cup drain? If so, tips on installing one?

I mean a drain off the collection cup for remote container so I don't have to change the cup as often, or if am out of town, etc.
You always better off cleaning the gunk out of the neck regularly. This is no advantage to a cup drain but you could always drill you own hole and add one is you the tubing is not extruded acrylic.
I agree with David, but I know where you're coming from. The collection cup on this particular skimmer is mighty small. If you are skimming wet it really needs to be emptied daily. The benefit of the small size means you have to empty it often so you might as well clean the neck while you're at it.. But for vacations you're sol, unless you drill and add a drain.
I think Li has little tapping RO plugs if you are handy with a drill and tap. He might even have the tools at work. Obviously you are on your own for the actual drilling

My octo came with a drain, so I wasn't really sure what you were saying.
