Will be hopefully setting up a 300+ gallon tank in the near future and tossing around some livestock ideas. Was just wondering if anyone has had any experiance with housing multiple tangs in 1 tank. My goal would be to have a

Any info or reccomendations appreciated. Thanks

IMO they all should do fine in 300 gal tank. Just make sure you provide one cave for each of them to hide and add those tangs same time. Keep 3x3 sheet of nori every day and feed them everyday.

I currently have a hippo tang and a sailfin in a 120 and they do fine together, i have heard that sometimes the powder blue's can be agressave but that might be on a fish to fish basis. and i dont have any experience with the white tail.

I have had a Yellow Tang and a Kole tang living in harmonoy together in my 110 for almost 2 years now. I added a Powder Blue about a year ago and there was some aggressive behaviors for the first week or two but they eventually became good friends for the short time I had the Powder Blue.

Hippo tang, purple tang, three yellow tangs and a tomonii tang in my 220. The only issue I had is there was a 4th yellow tang that was beat up by the other yellows. He was removed . No problems since.

I have a sohal, powder blue, blue, yellow and a yellow eye'd tang all in a 300gl.. I will say there will be some fighting from time to time but once they develope the pecking order you will be fine. You will need plenty of rockwork and hiding places so that they can get away from eachother when they've had enough.

My tangs have their days where two are chasing each other then other days when they are all chill.

my 2 cents, good luck,
T
