What are peoples preferred methods for dipping Zoas/Palys and Acans? Freshwater, Revive, other? Thanks.

Don

Depending on the situation...for adding new corals I typically use revive. For treating infections I use Iodine *Pro-Coral Cure*.

Peroxide alot of people use on Zoa's never tried it though. Alot of talk about it lately though. Anyone had good luck with it? I know Dougers I think tried it but didnt really say how it worked..... Cant remember.

I have found IME that Revive is really harsh on SPS though. Coral Rx seems a little nicer on SPS and Melafix works great with SPS.

I've heard the same about Peroxide but also haven't tried it. I use Revive on SPS's without issue so far.

Well the Revive dont kill the SPS but they seem to get more drab in color compared to using Melafix.

I use revive on all my corals. I give any zoas an extra dip in flatworm exit solution for a couple minutes. Flatworm exit will kill adult and juvenile nudis, although not the eggs.

50/50 peroxide works. I would not try it with SPS. It will kill algae too.
