Well, I secretley picked up a RSM a month or so ago, I pretty much kept it on the down-low. I pretty much am in love with this tank, however there's a couple small problems that I'll adress later on.

Fish:
Pair of Clowns
McCosker's Flasher wrasse
Neon Goby

Corals
Eagle eye Zoos frag (Currently 2 heads)
Fire & Ice Frag (Currently 5 heads)
Unknown Zoo Frag Similiar to green bay (currently 15 heads)
Blue Sps -Bleaching.. :/, willing to trade.
Frogspawn
2 Superman mushrooms
Purple mushroom
Xenia
Green Star Polpys
This is a picture about 2 hours after I moved everything over from my 4g

Nice! I like the rock work dude!

Hehe thank you :look: It's a love hate relationship I think it'll look good once I get more corals growing on it. I tried to keep it open to give my fish more swimming room, as I really wanted a wrasse.

Looking good Jace! Are you able to slide a magnet in-between the rock and the glass? Also, where the water goes in on the top right, keep them slots clean.

Rock work looks stellar! How do you like the tank? I always have secretly wanted one yet never could find one at the right time, I know Angie's got one she's waiting to set up, she offered to borrow it to me, I didn't take her up on it because I probably wouldn't want to! What size is yours?

Trust me, I've had my fair share of tanks and this one is by far my favorite.. It even has a built in timer for the lights (Some one needs to teach me how to use it as I still turn them on and off manually). The overall design and layout of this tank is wonderful. I'm pleased and I'll probably keep this tank in storage while I go to college I love it so much.

However, I think it's time to adress the problems I'm having with it.
First of all... I can't get the skimmer to work for anything... Just when I think I get it dialed in, I wake up the next morning to a collection cup full of water.... Also the skimmer produces INSANE micro bubbles.

Also, random micro bubbles, I'm currently not running the skimmer because of the micro bubble problem, and because I cant get it to work, However microbubles are still coming out of the return, I think I need to get some tubing and attach it, if anyone knows what size tubing and where to get it, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Also I noticed that my black false wall is not entirely black, its actually see threw, which is kinda weird....

Lastly, You can see the green Algae in the top right, can anyone I.D it? it looks like hair algae, I've never had it before... I currently have a wimpy clean up crew but how should I combat this??

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES :gay2:

nice tank looks good. i love the rsm tanks but my god they are super heavy! the 34 is somewhat reasonable but the 65g version is ridonkulous for the size of the tank. are you keeping the hood? my buddy did a 4 bulb t5 retro that worked well but had heat issues till he moved to the basement. led retro would be badazz too

I would like to do a retro fit, I'm not very savy at DIY stuff when it comes to wiring ect... Maybe some one on the forum could help me out. I'd be willing to pay.

And yes, even the 34G is super heavy....

I love to aquascape to! That clove polyp frag should be ready fairly soon...will fill in the rocks nicely:biggthumpup:

Thanks Tim! I still remember your RSM! (I think thats what you had in your room right?) If so that's totally what inspired me. And no I can't slide a magnet between the rocks and glass I tried.:bawling:

Yep. I had the exact same one. You might wanna witchy the rock a little. Once the algae starts building up, your gonna hate it. Just my .02

Also, heres a picture of my RSM for a little inspiration :beerchug:

Tim I hate you, It's just how I remembered it...... Perfect. And clean. Can anyone I.D the green Algae I have?? :(

Looks like Green Turf Algae to me but is hard to tell w/o a closer picture. Turf algae that grows with a "root" mat can be peeled by pushing down on the algae as you scrape your thumb against the glass dislodging it in one swoop.

Also anything with good scraping capabilities like an Emerald Crab or Urchin would do well.

Glad I finally get to see this mysterious 2nd tank. Looks good so far :)

That would work. Make sure you have enough hiding places and sturdy enough rocks since they will wedge inside crevices during the day. You'll probably have to supplement his diet with Dried Seaweed after it clears out the algae.

I was thinking of getting one for my 20g, but its spines are almost as long as my tank is wide :trout2:

urchins cause trouble in nanos imo...knock rocks/corals over, take up too much valuable space. id just take a scraper to the algae and call it good. ditch that stock skimmer too can never get those dialed in right...tunze 9002 with low pro cup works tits or a hydor nano skim that works pretty good on my 30g. also dont sweat the t5 retro there are a lot of write ups online to explain or bring the hood and materials down here and a we'll get it done.
