Reef Breeders Vs Ai prime (1 Viewer)

I currently have 3x Ai Prime 16HD’s above my shallow 76. I found a good deal on a reef breeders Photon V2 48.

Curious if anyone has experience with both lights. Considering swapping the primes out for the V2. I have other tanks I feel like the primes would be better suited for (nano tanks) however if the output on the V2 isn’t as high it wouldn’t make sense. I have softies, lps and sps. I like the shimmer the 3 lights offer. I also have a spare Hydra 52 I could add or swap one of the primes with but open to ideas!

I think the answer is probably measure with a par meter and confirm but I’d love to hear others experiences

Not so much about PAR as coverage. The coverage from the photon is infinitely better.

I can echo that, ran primes, then moved to G5 Radions and then to get better spread moved to the Photon. Won't go back from Reefbreeders, great lights!

Primes have great spectrum, they (like many fixtures) are made to look sleek and be a small item to produce and ship helping margins and hurting reefers.

I just switched from two Neptune Systems SKY fixtures to a Reef Breeders Meridian 35. I can definitely see an improvement, but I haven't had time to play with the color indexes so it's a tad too blue for my liking. With a slimmer fixture, I was able to add my two T5 bulbs again.

Jason - out of curiosity, if you bought that Reef breeders new, did you also look ATI Straton flex in the similar size?
