Hey guys, I'm in LA and was wondering if anyone knows anything about Reff Hot Spot? They have a website reefhotspot.com. Thought I'd check them out before I leave. Let me know if there is better shops here I should see.

I think vivid aquariums is just outside of la. I have ordered from them twice and would do it again.

Well reef hot sport is spot down, got there and the guy wouldn't even let us in. Went to this one shop called Jims exotic fish, it sucked... Saw where all the wholesalers where located next door to airport, couldn't get a tour without being a retailer 
bummer... Next time I'm here I'll try and list some places and for sure check them out... Sitting at the airport now waiting to come home from the 70 degree weather back to the 30's

So wait a second. I was browsing around tonight on the RHS website because I've had my eye on this brain coral over there and noticed they had free shipping on orders over $99. Great. I might pull the trigger. But then I realized that almost everything on their website is marked "sold out"??
And THEN I saw on the homepage, this note:
"Looking for a huge Saltwater fish store in Los Angeles? Visit our Los Angeles Fish Store"
and that linked to http://www.reefhotspot.com/store/siteinfo.php
So...pardon the phrase for those that know it, but "WTF"? I see that, and I remember you wrote "Well reef hot sport is spot down, got there and the guy wouldn't even let us in." Why wouldn't they let you in? Were you just not there during business hours? Or is something else up with Reef Hot Spot?

The guy said they are shutting down and are no longer in business, the place was in the middle of the getto, very suspicious, he acted really funny as if they got shut down.. The place wasn't very nice kind of in a open garage in the middle of a bad area. I wouldn't trust them...
