RIC. HELP (1 Viewer)

I have two ric's and they aren't expanding like they should or as colorful. Any ideas on what I should do. Everything else is just fine in my tank.

When you say everything else do you mean all the other inhabitants? Or do you mean all the tank parameters?

Are the rics in an area of high flow? Medium flow? Low flow?

Could be a water flow issue, or depending on what kind of lights, and how old the bulbs are......

By everthing else is fine - I mean the other inhabitants. I do very basic parameter checks and those are all fine. I have had a little problem with hair algae. The bulbs are about 7 months old (t-5) one is in the lower part of the tank and the other is in the middle.

I personally have never had any real success with ricordia and they are so slow to multiply.

they seem to do better in a little bit dirtier water tank. Mine are all spliting like crazy.....

I have found they do better in less flow. Mine are multiplying in pristine water.
