Getting Closer!

Where is a good place to get schedule 80 (grey) plumbing in the cities? I prefer not to wait for bulk reef supply or anything involving shipping. Thanks in advance!

You can pick up from BRS if you don't want to wait for shipping. Otherwise I am pretty sure home depot has schedule 80 stuff

No HD dont carry sch 80, unless you maybe go to bloomington store since they are the largest in the region... But otherwise not much demand for it and mostly found at plumbing supply outlets.

Well not that i know of in MN, not that i have seen or heard..

Every region for HD is different in what they carry.

Tank is looking good so far! Cant wait to see it wet and ready for action! :beerchug:

I noticed Menards in Rice Lake, WI has some sch. 80, but they were all scratched, gouged, and ugly. So I should try HD then? Also, the only day I'll be able to purchase anything is Sunday. Can I go to the BRS warehouse and make a purchase/pickup on the spot?

Thanks again guys.

At BRS you have to order online and tell them you want to pickup. I dont think they are open on Sunday. As for HD, you should probably call first (I dont want to tell you incorrectly)

Here's an update of where I am in the hobby...

A tank that is fullll of pods...its been setup for a long time, and would hate to lose such an established system. I bought it from Jake at discovery aquatics a while ago, and it has survived two moves with me. It will be a dedicated nem tank in the kitchen.

Current frag tank...

Is your current frag tank really a styro? I've never seen that before. Nice work.
That is going to be a nice setup for sure.

Haha, you might be a redneck reefer if your frag tank is your beer cooler. But yea, it's a styrobox i got a shipment of coral in.

And thanks for the kind words!

Heres a question. For those of you that have a hanging t5 fixture, how do you stop the electrical cords from pulling the light backwards?

Might be a temporary fix but what if you bought a thin dowel rod that is as tall as the floor to the top of your light and spray painted it black. Then use black zip ties and connect the two. It should take off the downward pressure from the cord

As I type this I should admit that I have been working for 13 hours in the sun landscaping today
