Awesome Tank & stant; truly love the flush mounted controller...

However a former predator fish I don't know if you where aware; you basically just bought your one and only fish by purchasing that angler...

I used to be big into predator fish; starting with a snowflake eel, getting 4 fuzzy dwarf lionfish; two leaf fish and then finally; the frogfish....

Do you remember kirby? well your frogfish not only gets to be about over a foot; he can eat a fish double the size of its mouth; He will; and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, lure all of your upcoming purchases right to his mouth without doing a thing...

I've seen maroon clown fish from hitting the surface of the water swim right into the frogfish I had at the time's mouth immediately. In addition if you cannot ween him to eating frozen silversides using a feeding stick and garlic; he will suffer intestinal problems and die quickly eating goldfish and other feeders.

I wish i could find a picture of my friends exact same frogfish to prove they get that big but alas I'll settle wish show my old pup:

Awesome fish! Yeah, I know they are predators. I'm setting him up in another tank. I also have a line on saltwater feeder shrimp and damsels/chromis, so no goldies or guppies here. Thanks for the comment. Sorry I missed your post earlier!

Here's the beginning of the new set-up.

I will be plumbing it into my existing setup. Does anyone have any recommendations on a return pump to the 20 gallon?

Also, I'm looking to get my feet wet in the LED side of lighting. I'm thinking a 26 long, 5 inch wide heatsink over the top of the 20 gallon. I want to know the ideal combo of LEDs. I've seen 1:1 ratio of royal blue, to cool white but is there other setups? I think I'm going to make it dimmable as well. How many LEDs would I need to keep mushrooms, zooanthids, and LPS in the 20?

I'm also looking at this setup

The par values of that fixture seem pretty impressive. There's a youtube video on their channel showing them testing it.

Well, my first attempt at drilling the tank worked out really well.

About halfway through the first hole.

Ok so it's been a while since I've updated this, but it's still going really well.

Firstly, I completely redid this system. Because let's face it. It was ugly and a pain in the butt.

It now looks like this (frag tank).

I also plan on breeding Bluestripe Pipefish, so I took advantage of the opportunity and set up another tank. This is a soft coral/small fish system.

And first Ill post the coral. Sadly, I didn't get the growth I wanted, and I attribute that to my lack of dosing on schedule last year.
