Female died. I was sent a replacement female, and ended up with a 2nd male. I will be getting an actual female tomorrow.

The 2nd male eats pellets!

Hope to start getting results in a few weeks.

dang :( do you know why she died? Grats on the bonus male :)

So far I have gotten 3/3 mandarin's trained to frozen so hoping I can do the same with the scooters.

Not entirely sure. I got her to eat cyclopeeze, and there were plenty of pods in her tank. I would turn the system off so the cyclopeeze would settle to the bottom and let her feed till she was fat. Then one day she couldn't be found.

No spawning to report. The pair has put on weight and they are certainly fat! I think I need to play with the lights a bit to get them spawning..

Ordered them this morning from Diver's Den. Expecting them to arrive on Wednesday.

WOAH! No Way! Super cool looking!

I had no idea these guys existed, I am still semi-new to the hobby. But my red scooter blenny dragonette and regular scooter blenny dragonette and they have been doing the mating dance every night.

It is tempting to try and breed them, but while it would be cool, they arent exactly rare or expensive fish, so there is no real profit potential. And I would be worried about stressing the fish by moving them into a new tank just for maybe breeding, as well as that they may not even continue the mating dance if moved until they settle in again.

I will have to look into these guys when I upgrade my tank in the next year or so. I dont want to add more to my current tank, pretty much fully stocked, as well as I would be worried about aggression towards new dragonettes because I don't think there would really be enough space for them to all fee comfortable.

How are these doing chad?

I had a small 3/4" male but the whole tank and fish I acquired with him was wiped out by velvet :(

Bummer too because he ate pellets within the first day...
