I would recommend starting with a 75 gallon tank that is reef ready.
Reason for 75 gallon instead of the 40 breeder is simple - Cost and ease of setup.
A 75 gallon RR will cost you the same (or close) as a 40br by the time you drill, overflow, bulkheads, etc... Just buy the 75 gallon on sale and your set!
