Agreed I live in South Minneapolis and after two years I could still use a sponsor and I am more than willing to be one to anyone just getting started with the basics!:beerchug:
I think this is a winning idea!

i'm in st. paul if anyone wants help... I'm hmong too, reason i mention this is because there are hmong newbies here that feels intimidated and are more comfortable asking another hmong for help.

I could defiantly use a mentor lol I live in uptown I do a lot of research but its not the same as someone there ya know. I will also be attending the may 12th meeting at SWE I have been a patron for a while its time i meet people in the hobby.

Welcome Shane and Dusty. Just by finding this site you are off to a good start. There are a lot of people in the club that have years of experience and are willing to share that experience.

Dusty, if you haven't found already we have a North Metro section. Get to know people on your side of town that could help you.

I'm pretty close to uptown. I'm happy to help. I'm certainly no expert, but have had saltwater for more than 20 years, although reefing for a year or so. My contact info is in my personal info

Hi IM new to the hobby just got 3 tanks a 10 gal a 55 gal and 120 gal and im looking for a mentor to help me get in to the sport. I am also setting up a club through my school at St Cloud State so all the help or sponsorship i could get would be great.

I could really use a mentor who has exp in maintaining frag tanks. Iv had saltwater tanks since i was a kid but i plan to get into the coral growing side of the hobby. I live one block from the fairgrounds on the corner of larpenteur and arona in falcon heights st paul. im 28 main hobby is reading books and watching internet videos on saltwater hobby. Just set up a 40gal frag tank. Buying a fish to cycle it this week could use someone to stop in and give advise on the eggcrate rack construction. I also have a nice 90g that i will be buying filtration for soon as funds become free from the investment i made on my frag tank. im very inqusitive and have lots of questions that are brought on from my extensive readings on saltwater material, so id need someone whos really into the hobby who might not mind off the wall questions. im willing to help with cleaning moving tanks and what ever you might need in exchange for learning the ropes of cuting frags growing them. im also intrested in breeding the more rare marine fish And will be building se ups for this. Im a good cook and not above tempting you with food :) due to a eyesight issue i do not drive but have the ability to get around. im with in walking distance of harmar petshop there display tanks are what got me intrested in the hobby when i was young.. it be best if the mentor had some time once in a bit to stop in here to view the tanks. Thanks for reading if anyone is near the fairgrounds and Willing hit me up.

I would be willing to help anyone around the Mankato area give or take a few miles! ;)

If anyone has questions or needs help with something in the area let me know!

St. Paul Highland Neighborhood

Anyone live in St Paul Highland neighborhood?

I can give some help as well as use some. I'm in that awkward twilight zone between a beginner and an experienced reefer.

I need a mentor!!! I live in Plum City, WI...45 minuets south of Hudson. Please send me a life line. I want to get into this hobby/life style and finally have the money and time but the info is overwhelming and i need the help....Lewis

Newbie in St. Cloud, please feel free to acclimate me to this new climate! I'm living on SCSU campus and they've made a new rule to outlaw anything larger than 10g on campus I had to say goodbye to my 30gallon tank.

It's a FOWLR tank at the moment but since I just installed a 96w Sunpaq Retrofit and paid tuition I have high hopes to turn this tank into something beautiful.

PS I'm nicer than my old damsels (I don't bite!)

Newbie up for adoption in the little town of medford (45 minutes south of lakeville).
I currently have a 29 gallon eclipse fowlr setup. As a rough guestimate, I have about 15 pounds LR right now. I am stocked with 1 damsel, chromis, purple firefish, mccoskers flasher wrasse, 2 ocellaris clowns, and a handful of inverts including one peppy shrimp.

I hope to upgrade soon so I will not crowd my tank too much. Anything between 30-90 gallons is what I'm looking for. =)

Looking for that "special someone" to adopt a cute widdle newbieee!!!!:gay1:

Just wanted to post an update for anyone looking for a mentor in the last month or so - we are currently in the process of transitioning someone to take over matching sponsers with those looking for sponsors.

Someone will be contacting you soon to get you set up! :beerchug:
