Suggestions on a New Fish (1 Viewer)

I have a 60 cube (24"x24"x24") that needs something else. The tank currently has a pair of aquacultured ocellaris and a six-line wrasse as the only fish. I do have some zoas, hammer and a few sps, as well as a handful of blue-legged hermits/snails.

Any suggestions on a good fish? I'm looking for something else "swimmy", as the wife doesn't share my love of cave dwellers or rock hoppers.

if it were me i would go with a flasher wrasse of some sort.. you could even get a few *3* try to get 1 male and 2 females so you get to see more natural behavior with the flashing.. there are a few species which are fairly inexpensive..

im a huge pigmy angle fan as well... yes they may nip your lps or zoas.. but ive had decent luck in the past with coral beauty, flames, and cherubs.. keep them well fed and the nipping is usually kept to a minimum..

royal gramma is nice to.. very bright and vivid.. can be aggressive at times

firefish would be a good option as well.. they wont swim all over the tank but once comfy they are out n about

Cardinals are a good open water fish. Pygmy angels are very active but may pick at corals. If you have sand the sleeper gobies can be an interesting compromise for the swimmy fish lover.

Dottybacks or Basslets maybe?

Pink Margin Wrasse or maybe a Red Solon?

Those are all "swimmy" and you can select the type of temperament and color you're looking for. Or Anthias but they need to be fed a lot and you'll want an auto feeder.

A school of blue/green chromis will liven up any tank. They constantly swim, school, and they're cheap.

The problem with the Blue/Green chromis is that they are very fond of the movie Highlander and continually reenact scenes from that film until there "Is Only One"

I'll toss in a few more suggestions:

pair of purple pseudochromis?
green coris wrasse?

Both have interesting colors that aren't seen a whole lot.

I would go with something that is harder to find colors for in corals. Yellows and Purples. Midas Blenny, Purple Pseudo, Royal Gramma, Yellow Assessor, or Black Cap Basslet. And if you dont think they will nip at corals you could try a BiColor Flame or Coral Beauty Angel.

As to the wrasse suggestions, won't there be any incompatibility with the six line?

I know 6 lines can be really aggressive fish but I do not think there would be an issue with either of those fish just because they are wrasses their body types are so different. I had both the Pink Margin and the Solon together in my tank and they were always out and about, really mellow fish that didn't bother anyone else
