Timmy, so what exact fixture did you get and what did it end up costing? Also, why did you choose that one over the tek t5? I've been looking at lights for a while and keep going back and forth :mad_3:

Thanks,
Ryan

I found a used one over on reef central for $500 thats 4 months old. The main selling point was active cooling and the great stuff i have read about and the price. You can save alot of money buying used if your willing to take the risk. Overall I have had good luck buying used. The only part of my system that was purchased new was the tank itself and my duel reactor from bulk reef.

Item description (from seller)
Up for sale is a 48" Aquatinics Constellation fixture that has been used for 3months. I purchased this fixture for my 120 gallon reef tank, however I wanted to try something new on my new tank. Included in the sale will be the tank mounting brackets for laying the fixture directly on the tank (as seen in one of the photos), about 2.5"-3", and also a full set of bulbs that are also 3 months old. (I did not purchase a hanging kit for this fixture, although they are available.)The current bulb set up includes - (2) 54w T5 Aqua Science Special 15000K, (2) 54w T5 Aqua Science Duo BLUE/WHITE/RED, (2) 54w T5 Aqua Science Blue 22000K, (1) ATI ProColor. The fixture has all individual parabolic reflectors, 3 switches for controlling 2, 2, and 3 bulbs respectively, an integrated acrylic splash shield, and 2 large but rather quiet fans. The build quality overall is impressive.

The Fixture is in like new condition, I keep all of my equipment in top notch shape, This whole set-up set me back over $800 a few months back, and the retail pricing remains the same today. $500.00 firm
