Is anyone having issues with Tapatalk? For the last few days, when I try to check the forums through Tapatalk, I have received a generic you do not have permission error. I logged into TCMAS from my browser and updated my password and I received the login error failure. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled Tapatalk but when I tried to log into TCMAS, I received a login failed error. I even rebooted my phone and received the same login failed error. Anyone smarter than myself have any suggestions?

Side note: I would be interested to hear from Tapatalk users on what hurdles they have for moving to using a mobile browser.

Tapatalk is....not great to manage and goes through spurts of issues like this. Open and honest, if it was 100% my decision, support for it would end.

I found a log of Tapatalk usage (which I suppose was just proven to be incorrect) that showed no users were using TCMAS through Tapatalk.

1. Try TCMAS through Tapatalk again and let me know now that I've reset it.
2. Give me honest feedback about why you use Tapatalk instead of mobile browser (which is a way better experience now than in years past).

I would encourage you to try the site in a mobile browser. I'm interested in that feedback too.

I don't use it anymore, but still have it setup. I like the notifications function, which I don't get on the webpage. Otherwise, there isn't much of a reason to use it just for TCMAS. It is nice when you frequent a bunch of forums that all use it, though.

I don’t use it, seems super outdated.
Browser provides much better interface for me.
Both Mobile and regular browser experiences are good for me

sit tight, i'm working on enabling PWA and thus, push notifications from the installed app

alright, my mobile browser picked it up

Navigate to the forums and open the browser menu, in my browser its three vertical dots

There will be a menu item about Installing or "Add to Home Screen" (every browser is different)

if presented with a question of adding to home screen or installing, chose installing.

An app icon will be added and after opening, a banner will be shown across the bottom about enabling push notifications (push notifications should also work from desktop browsers too (though I havent tested that)

Love it, for me in Safari it was on the bottom of the screen. I now have push notifications 🔔
Nice 👍

I primarily use Tapatalk just because I always have and haven’t tried the web version as I’m usually not a fan of the layout of forums on my phone (R2R) and rarely sit down with a laptop to scroll.

I do however have to click the go to web view to see polls and rsvp to meetings as you can’t do that in Tapatalk so for me I would say if it disappeared i would adjust

I would think that the count is wrong though if it says zero I am active almost daily to check the unread threads and see if anything interests me or I can help in any way.

Thanks.

The logs I mentioned were from Tapatalk, so I'm not sure why I put faith in their accuracy :)
